Support the campaign
Supporting parents to keep children safe is a shared priority. Vaping can be a difficult topic for families, and many parents are unsure when or how to start the conversation.
Clear the Air is designed to help organisations across Essex support parents of 10 to 12-year-olds to feel ready and confident to have that first chat.
Children are exposed to vaping more often than many adults realise through social media, friends and everyday environments. This can make vaping seem normal at an early age.
When parents feel informed and confident to talk, children are better prepared to respond to situations involving vaping.
This campaign provides clear and accessible information for you to share with families.
It will help parents to understand:
- What vapes are and what is in them
- The risks for young people
- What to say if your child is offered a vape
Parents do not need to be experts. With the right support and clear facts, a simple conversation can make a difference.
